About Team Sierra

YOU are Team Sierra. You care about protecting the places we live and people we love, and you want to take action!

We have all come together to raise funds to benefit Sierra Club because we love the planet, and we've proven we know how to make an impact. We all pick something we love – running, dancing, biking, hiking, baking, or even using upcoming celebrations like birthdays or weddings to ask for donations to help our planet.

We are glad you are here. Welcome! Let's get started!

About the Oregon Sierra Club

The Sierra Club is the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. What makes us unique is that we have the grassroots power to win with 3 million members and supporters, 64 Chapters, and over 400 groups. Our successes range from protecting millions of acres of wilderness to helping pass the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. More recently, we've made history by leading the charge to move away from the dirty fossil fuels that cause climate disruption and toward a clean energy economy.

The Sierra Club’s Oregon Chapter represents the organization’s 80,000 members and supporters in Oregon and has worked to protect Oregon’s environment and natural resources since 1978. Today, the Sierra Club employs five staff in Oregon who work with volunteer leaders to advance the chapter’s conservation priorities. Current priority conservation efforts of the Oregon Chapter include:

  • Protecting Oregon’s wild forests, high deserts, and all public lands, including the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, currently threatened to be downsized.
  • Stopping reckless fracked gas pipelines and export terminals, like Jordan Cove terminal and the Pacific Connector Pipeline.
  • Fighting for affordable clean energy solutions, led by those most impacted by climate injustice, through the Portland Clean Energy Fund city ballot initiative.

We have a growing outings program inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet.
