Back in July I made the decision to begin donating 100% of my music income to organizations engaged in climate action and ecological preservation. I was able to turn the $350 that I was paid for my last show in NYC into a donation of $1085 after asking for matching donations.
Global warming and biodiversity collapse are the most urgent issues of our time. I have made a commitment to do everything I can, not only for the sake of future generations of humans, but for all the lifeforms that call this planet home. Please join me in taking action.
Over the past year I've had the opportunity to see some incredible parts of our natural world – Zion National Park, Arches, Carlsbad Caverns, Santa Fe Natiional Forest, Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks, Bandelier National Monument, Harriman State Park, Badlands, Great Sand Dunes National Park, and everywhere in between.
These are special places that must be protected and, in order to do that, we must put in the work.
I’m raising funds for the Sierra Club because they are one of the organizations most aligned with my personal goals in meeting this challenge. The funds you donate will enable the Sierra Club to do things like:
• Provide cleaner, cheaper, energy.
• Protect our land, water, and air – from our backyards to the other side of the globe.
• Save animals being threatened with extinction.
• Make the outdoors accessible for all of us.
My goal for this campaign is $2400, I have begun by donating the first $1200 which was earned from the shows I played on the Anamanaguchi [USA] Tour last week in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Denver. Please help me cross the finish line by making a donation. And when you do, let me know why you care about doing good by nature in the “Words of Encouragement” box. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks so much.
