Adam Palazzo Memorial
An amazing and radiant soul, Adam Palazzo lived fully as a biomedical researcher, avid hiker, and lover of nature. On August 30, 2020, one day short of his 40th birthday, he set out on his final hike and departed this earth in the midst of a place he loved to explore.
Adam was passionate about his work as a research scientist at Gilead Sciences, where he specialized in immunology. His research helped create treatments for hepatitis, cancer, and autoimmune diseases.
Adam was also enamored with the great outdoors. He loved hiking and visited trails all over the world. Trips to Arches National Park, Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii, New Zealand, the French Alps, and Spain were a few of his grand adventures. When not communing with nature, this scientist and scholar also enjoyed reading, welcoming any opportunity to gather with friends. He brought his family and friends great joy, and his smile and laughter filled any room. He was witty, sharp, lovable, and kind -- he made everyone feel loved and important with each interaction. His family and friends will love, celebrate, and miss him always.
There are many ways to leave a legacy. Providing breathable air, drinkable water, and protecting our planet for future generations seems like the perfect way to celebrate Adam's life.
The funds you donate will enable the Sierra Club to do things like:
• Provide cleaner, cheaper, energy.
• Protect our land, water, and air – from our backyards to the other side of the globe.
• Save animals being threatened with extinction.
• Make the outdoors accessible for all of us.
We know the Sierra Club will utilize the funds we raise to have the biggest impact on the issues that Adam and Jamon care about. We hope this brings some comfort to Jamon and his loved ones in this time of terrible sadness.
Thank you so much for contributing to our memorial for Adam.
