Stronger and more frequent natural disasters. A lack of clean air and safe drinking water in our most vulnerable communities. Various reports outlining irreversible damage to our planet. It's clear that the climate crisis is not just one of the greatest threats we face. It's already here: People around the country and world are being impacted by our warming planet every day.
We also know we can do something about it. Tackling this global threat will take ambitious goals and plans – and luckily, we know that Team Sierra teammates thrive on big goals and hard, meaningful work.
So join Team Sierra in Bend and cross the finish line knowing you made a real impact raising critical funds to protect our planet.

ABOUT THE RACE
Both the full and half marathon courses run (pun intended) along the beautiful Deschutes River and through Riverbend Park. Like the Sierra Club, the Bend Marathon team is committed to sustainability and a healthy future. All aid stations are cupless, reducing waste and preventing litter.
We know that Team Sierra teammates thrive on big goals and meaningful work. In 5 short years, we've raised over to $2 million dollars to support the Sierra Club — the nation's largest grassroots environmental organization — and its work protecting wildlife and wild places, advancing clean energy solutions, and making the outdoors more accessible.
A note about covid: The Bend Marathon race organizers are continuing to monitor local covid cases and put safety measures in place following local and state health guidelines. Visit the Bend Marathon site to stay up to date.
Individual Fundraising Commitment: $500
