I joined the New Year's 1.5 Challenge!

What does that mean?

I've committed to do either 1.5 miles or a 15 minute workout every day through February 12. 

Why 1.5? 

The UN's 2018 report stated that we must keep temperature increases under 1.5 degrees Celsius to avert the most devastating effects of the climate crisis. At the time, experts said that we could reach this threshold by 2030, but now recent reports from the World Meteorological Organization suggest it could happen as early as 2024.

This is where you come in! 

I'm raising money for the Sierra Club, and I'm trying to reach $500.

Will you make a donation to help me reach this goal? 

The money will support many of Sierra Club's initiatives like retiring coal plants, moving away from fossil fuels, and transitioning to clean energy, like solar and wind. You can read more about their work to fight the climate crisis.

I'm concerned about the future of our planet, and I know we have to act now.
